Suitcase Cake


Made in 2014. The cake is a coffee and walnut sponge covered in a chocolate fondant icing. The stitching detail on the straps was created using a wheel embossing tool to give a more realistic effect. The two tone effect of the string attached to the luggage label was made by braiding 2 colours of fondant together. The writing on the label was made using an edible ink pen. Finally all of the flags decorating the cake were made using fondant and represent all the countries the person has travelled.
